SCFD#4 serves a community of 113 square miles across rural Southwestern Shawnee County and Eastern Wabaunsee County. Operating out of two fire stations, SCFD#4 responds to approximately 200-250 incidents annually. Our dedicated team of 20-30 members proudly serves the community, providing fire protection, emergency medical response, and public safety services.

Our Department
We are a dedicated part-time and volunteer fire department with firefighters who share a strong commitment to serving their community through the fire service. Our roster consists of approximately 20 to 30 firefighters, whose certifications and backgrounds range from basic in-house training to career-level firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, engineers, public safety professionals, skilled tradespeople, and military personnel. While we are a volunteer department, our station is staffed Monday through Friday to ensure prompt responses. SCFD #4 responds to approximately 200-250 calls for assistance each year, providing fire protection and emergency medical service to our community.
